Ken Grady is the Lean Law Evangelist for Seyfarth Shaw LLP, and an adjunct professor at Michigan State University College of Law where he is a member of the LegalRnD faculty. Ken writes, teaches, presents, and uses anything else that works to train people in the legal industry how to solve problems efficiently, at lower cost, and with higher quality.

Jeroen Zweers

Innovation Director at Kennedy Van der Laan & Co-Founder of Dutch Legal Tech and Legalpioneers - Amsterdam, NL

Jeroen Zweers joined Kennedy Van der Laan in 2014 as Innovation Director. He is there responsible for a team of Legal Tech designers and developers who create custom made Smart Law solutions for legal counsels. Jeroen has been nominated and won awards from The Lawyer, Golden hourglass and the Financial Times for concept developed form clients like Nike. And in 2016 he was mentioned by the Financial Times as one of the 10 European Innovators of the Year. Previously, he worked for Dirkzwager and developed a award winning platform for knowledge sharing and content marketing.

He is also the co-founder of Dutch Legal Tech.Dutch Legal Tech is a platform for Legal Tech and Legal Innovation. We run a series of meetups where we invite leading innovators to talk about their work to an audience of lawyers, entrepreneurs, academics, service providers, and government agencies. In 2017 we will organize for the third time the Legal Tech Startup Awards. Dutch Legal Tech is one of the largest Legal Tech community's in the world.

Daniel Biene

Founder of Legalbase and Smartlaw – Berlin, DE

Daniel Biene is a serial entrepreneur in the legal tech space and a frequent speaker on innovation topics. He has founded Legalbase, a curated e-commerce marketplace for legal services, and SmartLaw, the first digital legal document service in Europe. Earlier in his career, he has worked for many years in senior management positions for large publishing groups such as Axel Springer and Ganske Publishing, running some of their digital ventures. Daniel was originally trained as a lawyer in Germany, the U.S. and Switzerland, working for Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP. In addition to his two law degrees, he holds a Ph.D. in Law & Economics from the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition.

Peter Carayiannis

Partner at Deloitte Conduit Law & Co-Founder of StandIn Law – Toronto, CA

Peter Carayiannis is a Partner at Deloitte Conduit Law LLP, an alternative model law firm practicing in affiliation with Deloitte Canada. After practicing law for several years at one of Canada’s largest national law firms as a corporate lawyer, Peter set out to build a new model of law firm focused on finding more efficient and effective ways of working with his clients and to deliver quality legal services to Canadian businesses. It was this experience of delivering on-site and on-demand legal services that would lead to the founding of Conduit Law, and the subsequent affiliation with Deloitte Canada.
Peter has also worked closely with the LegalTech community in Canada and is a frequent speaker on entrepreneurship and innovation, especially as it applies to the practice and business of law. He has spoken at numerous conferences and events in both the US and Canada

Mark Holmes

CEO & Founder at Waymark Tech Ltd, – London, GB

Mark Holmes is the founder of Waymark Tech. He and his company believe fluid, nimble tech should sit at the core of how firms become compliant, providing a nucleus to take control of regulatory change. By applying Natural Language Processing techniques to the vast array of regulatory documents, Waymark delivers tailored requirements at a speed, scale and cost previously unachievable through either manual or electronic methods. With 13 years of experience in developing products for banks and technology vendors, he has become a market recognized expert in regulatory reporting space.

Tobias Heining

Director Business Development & Communications at CMS Germany and Board Member of the European Legal Tech Association (ELTA) - Berlin, DE

Tobias Heining is heading the Business Development & Communications (BD&C) department at CMS in Germany which also comprises a newly founded Research & Development unit. The unit is responsible for developing technology-based legal advisory products, quite unique for a commercial law firm, and launched its first product in 2015. Prior to becoming BD&C Director at CMS, Tobias has been working as Consultant at a PR agency, as Marketing Manager at US law firm Gibson Dunn & Crutcher, joined CMS as BD Manager and headed the BD unit at CMS for a couple of years. In his various functions, Tobias Heining has been dealing with the topic of product development in law firms since 2007. Tobias studied History, Politics and Communications at Freie Universität Berlin, as well as Business Economics later on. In addition, Tobias Heining is founding member and board member of the European Legal Tech Association (ELTA).

Philipp v. Bülow

Philipp v. Bülow is the co-founder and CEO of Jurato. After his studies in business economics in Berlin, he obtained two Masters degree at the Copenhagen Business School and the Bocconi University Mailand. Following this, he worked, among others, as entrepreneur at Kids & Trees in Madrid and helped building Glossybox, a Rocket Internet Venture in Berlin. He is now responsible for the strategic business development of the company at Jurato.

Dr. Till Sieberth

Dr. Till Sieberth (Dipl.-Ing., PhD) is an engineer at the Institute of Forensic Medicine at the University of Zurich (Switzerland). He graduated from Loughborough University (UK) in 2016 with a PhD in geomatics focusing on image processing in photogrammetry. Before 2012 he visited Dresden University of Technology (Germany), graduating in Geomatics with a Diplom Engineer in 2012. Since 2016 he is working in the Virtopsy team as an expert in 3D documentation of patterned injuries and researcher in forensic imaging. Additionally he is volunteering as Digital Content Editor for The Photogrammetric Record and as reviewer for the SPIE.

Thomas Rufener

Thomas Rufener is the Head Operations for the Group General Counsel Area at Zurich Insurance, a leading global multi-line insurer. The Group General Counsel Area encompasses the Legal, Compliance, Board Secretariat, Legislative and Regulatory Affairs and Corporate Responsibility functions. Prior to this role, amongst other activities, he was involved in establishing and developing the internal consulting unit within Zurich Insurance, worked for the management consulting company McKinsey & Co. in the financial and energy production sectors and was on the management board of a listed total contracting and real estate investment company.
